Just Price Solutions (JPS) is a nonprofit subsidiary of Neighborhood Housing Services of America (NHSA), the leading nonprofit provider of secondary market capital to the community development field. JPS was created to leverage NHSA’s 30 years experience in community development financing with proven mortgage processes and technologies.

The advent of Web-based technologies allowed JPS to create a single, robust platform that could be accessed via the Internet. Organizations without the resources to establish and maintain costly in house systems can now use this advanced foreclosure prevention and loan origination platform with just an Internet connection.

The core of the JPS platform is an automated underwriting system that allows “what if” prequalification evaluations of a range of products and funding sources. It generates online approvals, validates eligibility requirements and connects seamlessly to third party service providers. Online systems replace laborious manual systems and allow users to select the optimal program for borrowers without the in depth knowledge needed in the past.

BestFIT℠ is the gateway to the JPS platform and incorporates the specific elements of foreclosure prevention so that a case by case or bulk analysis can now be done in a scalable process.

Even before the current mortgage crisis, Just Price began development of the Just Price BestFIT platform—a data capture, quality control and assessment utility that automates the process of screening nonperforming mortgage loans. By outlining an actionable, sustainable plan, Just Price BestFIT℠ helps families stay in their homes while giving servicers a process to quickly identify homeowners who are eligible for a modification or refinancing options and get them through the process faster.

Existing homeowners are evaluated for loan modifications based on the FDIC’s Mod in a Box and Obama Administration’s Make Home Affordable program.  Eligibility evaluations and modification proposals are then delivered to servicers online for an outcome that is efficient, affordable and sustainable.

Additionally, BestFIT℠ matches first-time homebuyers and existing homeowners to a combination of available public subsidies and private purchase and refinance loan products.  Then the JPS automated underwriting system simultaneously underwrites these multiples financing layers for a customized ‘best fit’ financing solution.

The platform has been endorsed by Neighborworks® America to support the federally funded National Foreclosure Mitigation Counseling (NFMC) program and is used by over 250 housing counseling agencies across the nation.
